Making It Work: Implementing Evidence-Based Practices in Real-World Settings
Date: August 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
Evidence-based behavioral health interventions can improve outcomes, but successful implementation requires more than selecting the right practice. Leaders, directors, and implementers play a critical role in creating the systems, structures, and supports needed to ensure these interventions are delivered effectively and sustained over time. This learning series provides a bird’s-eye view of the most widely used evidence-based practices, explores common barriers and facilitators to implementation, and offers practical tools from implementation science to support adoption, implementation, evaluation, and long-term sustainability. Drawing on years of experience supporting implementation efforts, facilitator Dr. Nilaja Green, will share practical insights, actionable resources, and lessons learned from the field. Attendees will gain strategies for building systems that support high-quality behavioral health services with lasting impact while collaborating with colleagues to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world scenarios.
Learning objectives:
- Provide overview of most common evidence-based practices in behavioral health settings.
- Explore common barriers and facilitators to effective implementation of these practices.
- Develop strategies, using tools from implementation science, to support and sustain these practices.
