David Katz is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington. An epidemiologist and implementation scientist, his research interests include community-based sexual and behavioral health service delivery; community-engaged research methods; HIV/STI partner services, self-testing, and diagnostics; and the sexual and behavioral health of Latinx communities. He is faculty in the Behavioral Innovations Core of the UW/Fred Hutch Center for AIDS Research and the evaluator for the Center for Mental Health Implementation Support Pacific West Hub. He previously served as an HIV/STI epidemiologist at Public Health–Seattle & King County, HIV testing services consultant for the World Health Organization, and in human subjects protections and policy at the National Institutes of Health.
