Leveraging Implementation Approaches to Strengthen Mental Health Services: Engaging the Community & Assessing Local Mental Health Needs

Date: July 17 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am EDT

Are you looking to engage your community and tailor services to meet local mental health needs?  Join us for this interactive two-part series exploring community engagement and needs assessment and their application in your setting. Whether you are new to these topics or you are looking to improve your existing practices, this series is for you!  We encourage you to bring a small group of key players from your organization; consider including those who are instrumental in preparing, implementing, and sustaining practices.  This series is designed to build from session 1 through session 2, so please plan to have at least one person from your organization in attendance throughout.

Session 1 will take place on July 17 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM ET (w/ optional support 10:00 – 10:30) and provide a topical overview, followed by group collaboration and exploration of resources. Attendees will be invited to apply these resources to their program, organization, or broader systems of care context.

Session 2 will take place on July 31 from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM ET (w/ optional support 4:00 – 4:30) and dive deeper into the application of community engagement and needs assessment resources from Session 1 in your specific setting and solicit feedback from the Northeast Atlantic and Caribbean Hub of CMHIS and from fellow participants. Attendees will identify ways to deepen their connection to their community and implement services that meet their needs.
