Between April and June 2025, CMHIS assessed the needs and preferences of staff and leaders implementing mental health practices in state and local agencies, community mental health centers, or related settings. Our goal was to better understand Implementers’ needs and preferences around implementation support and CMHIS’s 8 Core Topics.

We analyzed data from 183 respondents that worked in organizations that oversee or directly provide mental health services and were involved in selecting, adapting, or implementing practices. This report shares a summary of the findings, including:

• Priorities for implementation support activities.
• Perceptions of strength and areas for improvement across CMHIS’s 8 Core Topics.
• What implementers value in implementation support activities.
