Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs): Repository List and Details

Author(s): Measurement-Based Care Workgroup

Contributed by: Measurement-Based Care Workgroup

This interactive dashboard outlines and provides no-cost access to standardized patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) for adults and youth that are validated, brief, and sensitive to change over time. The Center for Mental Health Implementation Support (CMHIS) convened a panel of national experts in measurement-based care (MBC) to compile this list of PROMs. The process was guided by a review of the peer-reviewed literature as well as reports and white papers addressing implementation of MBC in community mental health settings.

You can filter the list of measures by population or focus area to find the right measure for your setting. To compare two or more PROMs side by side, you can select the checkboxes on two to four measures, then click the “Compare” button to review item counts, response scales, scoring, and other details. You can also access the full list of measures by downloading the PDF version of the repository on the dashboard. Please note: the repository is intended to be a starting point for measure selection; other patient reported measures not included here may also be useful in MBC.
