Ifrah Akhtar is a Communications Specialist for the Rutgers School of Health Professions. She has a variety of experiences from being a Gilman Scholar, an alumni of the Institute for Women’s Leadership at Rutgers, creator of the Muslims Abroad guide, and Founding Editor of MODEST Magazine. She is also a writer and the Editorial and Art Director for Central Desi, a news platform serving the South Asian community in New Jersey. Her work and expertise center around storytelling and fostering a collaborative environment where design and knowledge intersect.
