Workforce conditions and organizational readiness are critical factors influencing the successful implementation and continuity of mental health services. Drawing on national research and field experience from crisis recovery and workforce initiatives, this session introduces the concept of grief readiness as an organizational approach that helps agencies maintain stability during periods of loss, crisis, and high stress. Participants will examine how unaddressed grief and cumulative loss can affect workforce functioning, implementation conditions, and service delivery, and will explore practical leadership and supervision strategies that strengthen organizational readiness while supporting staff.
A follow-up coaching session on May 28 will provide participants with an opportunity to apply workforce-focused implementation concepts within their own organizational context. Participants will reflect on workforce conditions affecting service delivery, identify areas where grief or cumulative stress may influence implementation, and explore realistic strategies to strengthen organizational supports within their sphere of influence. Coaching emphasizes practical next steps that support both workforce functioning and continuity of services.
