Growing Sustainable Behavioral Health Programs: Strong and Solid Organizational Approaches to Sustainability

Date: September 23, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am CDT

Have just 30–60 minutes? Plant the seeds for long-term success by joining Sherrie Watkins, LMSW each Tuesday in September as she branches out into a different CMHIS Sustainability Resource—designed to help your behavioral health programs become deeply rooted and resilient. Join us for one or all four!

Each session includes:

  • A spotlight on one sustainability resource to help your program take root and grow
  • A brief consultation or “watering session” for any questions you bring
  • A quick intro to the Midwest Hub—your ecosystem of support
  • How to request technical assistance to nurture your program further

In this learning session, we will review Approaches to Sustainability for CCBHCs: An Environmental Scan and Guidance for Grantees. Participants will understand how strong internal structures help programs weather challenges and sustain desired outcomes.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Examine strategies for sustaining staffing, infrastructure and service delivery
  2. Apply lessons from other CCBHCs to participants’ own setting
  3. Identify opportunities and challenges in aligning sustainability with organizational growth
