Implementing Trauma Responsive Services

Date: October 20 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm CDT

Leaders of organizations are constantly monitoring the needs of behavioral and mental health systems, engaging with local communities, and supporting individuals who rely on their services. At the same time, they must remain attentive to the unique needs of their own organizations and the people who make them work.

Trauma-informed practices are essential for achieving both individual and organizational goals. Yet, being trauma responsive goes beyond simply creating a trauma-informed environment. Truly trauma-responsive organizations see change as a natural part of service delivery and place the well-being of all individuals affected by that change at the center of their success.

Recognizing the important role leaders play in guiding this process, the CHMIS Southwestern Plains Hub is offering a three-session learning series for organizations committed to designing and implementing trauma-informed and trauma-responsive services. This series is tailored for leaders in mental and behavioral health settings who are responsible for developing, sustaining, and innovating trauma-responsive approaches within their organizations. Through a unique, practical lens on implementation and trauma responsiveness, participants will engage in collective learning, gain inspiration, and build collaborative resources.

Series Format
The Southwestern Plains Hub has designed a three-part series to help leaders conceptualize and implement trauma-responsive services in their organizations. Each session encourages collaborative discussion and shared learning. Participants who attend all three sessions and actively engage in the process will benefit most from the experience.
