Leading Improvements in Mental Health Programs

Date: September 22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm PDT

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is an approach that uses data to strengthen mental health programs and systems. This 60-minute session will provide an overview of CQI and its core components, and describe how it can support lasting change.

After a brief didactic overview from our content experts, Pacific West Hub Co-Director Lydia Chwastiak and Implementation Specialist Denna Vandersloot, we’ll shift into a group discussion about the implementation of CQI. Come ready to reflect on your own experiences with CQI and learn about helpful resources to support your organization’s CQI efforts.

This is a collaborative space: we want to hear about challenges or questions you have about CQI implementation. This discussion will shape the implementation support activities and services our Pacific West hub will offer.

After this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain what CQI is and how it can be helpful in implementing change
  • Identify the 8 core components of CQI
  • Draft a CQI Plan and understand how to access CMHIS support to implement that plan

This session is ideal for leaders working to make meaningful, measurable improvements in mental health programs and systems. We hope to see you there!
