Peer Support Implementation Community of Practice

Open to:Midwest

Date: October 6 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm CDT

Applications are due Friday, September 25. We will notify applicants by Tuesday, September 29.

Are you thinking about integrating peer support services into your organization — or looking to strengthen and expand the peer support services you already offer? Join us for this Community of Practice (COP), a facilitated series designed to help your team turn ideas into a concrete, ready-to-implement plan for integrating peer support services into your organization’s everyday workflow.

We’ll be using tools from the NIATx process improvement model throughout — completing an organizational self-assessment, defining clear aims, mapping out where peer support services fit within your workflow, and designing small pilot tests, wrapping up with a clear written plan. This series doesn’t focus on how to deliver peer support services — it’s about building the roadmap to get there.

We encourage you to bring a small team of key players from your organization, since you’ll be working with colleagues between sessions to gather input, test ideas, and build buy-in. This series builds from session to session, so in order for the project to have its intended impact and be successful, please plan to have at least 2 team members in attendance throughout.

How it works:
Teams meet every 2 weeks for a facilitated session, with structured assignments to complete in between. Each team works independently on its own organization’s plan while learning alongside other organizations in the cohort. Across the full COP, attendees can expect 9 hours of live session time and approximately 25–30 hours of outside-session work, spread across 6 sessions over roughly 2 months. In order to provide a hands on implementation support experience, we are accepting a maximum of 25 teams for this community of practice.
