SUMMARY:Project Management Principles for Mental Health Practice Implementation
DESCRIPTION:The East Coast Hub for Mental Health Implementation Support\, in partnership with Kentucky DBHDID leadership\, is excited to offer a three-session virtual training that will provide managers with practical project management tools to support the successful implementation of services\, programs\, and practices. This training series was developed in direct response to requests from DBHDID managers for additional training and support in guiding implementation efforts and supporting their teams. It is designed to strengthen service delivery\, improve team coordination\, and reduce overwhelm. Whether managing a new initiative or sustaining an existing program\, participants will learn foundational project management techniques tailored to the realities of behavioral health work. Hosted by the East Coast Hub\, the three 90-minute sessions will focus on real-world application and tools managers can immediately put into practice. \nLive sessions will be virtual from 1:00-2:30 PM EST on: \n\nAugust 11\nAugust 25\nSeptember 8\n\nLEARNING OBJECTIVES \n\nDescribe the foundational principles of project management\nDescribe project managers’ mindset\, role\, and responsibilities\nApply project management methodology to real-world implementation scenarios\nApply the foundations of scope\, scheduling\, cost\, risk\, and communications management to real-world implementation efforts\nDevelop and explain the importance of project management artifacts and documents\nUtilize project management techniques to build team capacity\, manage change\, and mitigate staff fatigue & confusion\n\nNote: These sessions will focus on equipping Kentucky mental health supervisors with the project management tools needed to lead implementation efforts\, but this series does not qualify for any of the learning hours required to sit for the official PMP exam. \nFor more information about this training\, please contact the East Coast Hub.
