Byron aims to improve the quality of health services by developing and evaluating implementation strategies and advancing implementation research methods. He is Associate Dean for Research and Associate Professor at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), where he holds secondary appointments in the School of Public Health and School of Medicine. He is the Co-Director of WashU’s Dissemination and Implementation Science Innovation Research Network, the Dissemination and Implementation Research Core, and the Center for Mental Health Services Research. He holds adjunct appointments at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, UNSW Sydney, and University College Cork. Byron has published more than 160 scientific journal articles, 11 chapters, and two books. He has been recognized as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher and a Stanford University-Elsevier’s World’s Top 2% Scientist. He has received numerous awards, including a Fulbright Specialist Award and Provost’s Research Excellence Award from WashU.
