Gideon is an Associate Vice President and Deputy Director of Training Programs at Burness, a full-service, mission-driven communications firm based in Washington, D.C. Gideon has worked for over a decade both domestically and internationally leading projects across multiple issues such as science and biomedical research, higher education and STEM, health professions education, public health, and climate change. Gideon provides communications support, strategic counsel and guidance, writing support, training, and coaching to a diverse group of organizations, including the National Academy of Medicine, the Macy Foundation, the Aspen Institute, and the National Institutes of Health. Gideon leads communications training work across the company. In addition to designing and developing new training curricula, he has led over 300 communications workshops to date for organizations across the globe. These sessions focus on message development, media relations, crafting and delivering presentations, storytelling, persuasive writing, crisis communications, and communication strategy, among other topics.
