
Jennifer Baran-Prall, LCSW

Jennifer Baran-Prall is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health at The University of Texas at Austin’s Steve Hicks School of Social Work. With a career rooted in service and advocacy, Jennifer is dedicated to supporting individuals through trauma recovery and mental health needs. She has extensive experience working with at-risk populations, with a specialized focus on suicide prevention and Veteran mental health.
Her tenure as a Suicide Prevention Coordinator with the Veterans Health Administration highlights her leadership in developing innovative programs and expanding access to mental health services for Veterans. Jennifer’s expertise includes trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, community outreach, and early psychosis intervention.
She previously served as Program Manager for the South Southwest MHTTC and now leads efforts at the Southwestern Plains Hub, where she continues to champion recovery-oriented, evidence-based approaches in behavioral health.
