Tammy Weppelman, MS, LPC-S

Director of Health Care Initiatives, Suicide Prevention Resource Center

Tammy Weppelman is the Director of Health Care Initiatives at the Suicide Prevention Resource Center. She has 25 years of experience in behavioral health with a focus on suicide prevention. She is passionate about strengthening systems and reducing barriers to behavioral health care.

Tammy’s expertise includes suicide prevention best-practice implementation, comprehensive risk assessment, Safety Planning Intervention, Local Outreach to Suicide Survivor (LOSS) teams, and care transitions. She has extensive experience in providing training in best practices; making presentations tailored to specific audiences; and supporting system-level implementation of suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention practices. Tammy has served at the state and local levels with a focus on policy development, system improvement, product development, and workforce wellness.

Tammy has a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of North Texas and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S).
