Valerie Mielke’s portfolio includes the New Jersey Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (Medicaid), the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Catastrophic Illness in Children’s Relief Fund. Mielke currently serves as First Vice President for the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Agency Directors and the Secretary of the NASMHPD Research Institute (NRI). She served as president of the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) from 2019 to 2021. Ms. Mielke holds a BA from Fairfield University and an MSW from Rutgers University.
